“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” – Rev 4:11

Someone observed the following about Christopher Columbus:

He went out not knowing where he was going; and when he got there he did not know where he was; and when he got back he did not know where he had been.

Perhaps this is true of people today:

They do not know where they have been; they do not know why they are here; and they do not know where they are going.

Revelation 4:11 gives answer to this dilema:

God made man in His own image and blew into him the breath of life. He designed man to live in His presence and worship Him. Today, that is still our supreme purpose. We were created to worship God and enjoy Him forever. “All that God created, He created for His purpose and pleasure  (Rev. 4:11)”

How do we apply this truth:

As created beings we are to acknowledge God as the creator of our marvelous universe.  We are to DAILY thank Him for something we see because He created it all. We are to train ourselves to worship Him by just being thankful!

The purpose of man: We were designed to Worship!
